Please join us for a special evening on Thursday, March 10, 2016. Teachers from both Riverside and San Bernardino counties who participated in last summer's Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute will be showcasing the lessons they created as a result of their experiences at the Institute. Additionally, we will have a special keynote speaker directly from Colonial Williamsburg. One of the character interpreters will provide us with a wonderful keynote address. We're looking forward to seeing who will travel from the past to join us this year! You will not want to miss this wonderful evening filled with ideas and inspiration.
The Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute is designed for teachers who teach early American history. Teachers who are selected travel to Williamsburg, Virginia for a one week institute where they are immersed in an incredible educational experience in the restored capital city of 18th century Virginia. They meet with noted historians and character interpreters, take part in reenactments of 18th century events, and learn new teaching techniques from mentor teachers as well as from each other.
