Participants in this session will learn (or be refreshed and updated regarding) the "nuts and bolts" best practices and legal requirements for each step of the School Attendance Review Board (SARB) process. Additionally, participants will learn how to prepare and expedite SARB cases for district attorney review, DA mediations, and successful prosecution. The class will be taught by the countywide Deputy District Attorney, SARB coordinator, Amir Alavi. This session will serve as an excellent opportunity to ask any and all SARB related questions, to facilitate and enhance communication with the District Attorney's Office, to trouble shoot common SARB related problems, and to explain, clarify and improve District Attorney SARB related policies and procedures that impact school district SARB programs.
