A schools’ master schedule reveals the true beliefs, attitudes, values, and priorities of the school. It is the window to the soul of the school. How the school master schedule is constructed may be as important as what the master schedule contains. High performing schools place a high priority on building and delivering a master schedule that is student-centered. Master schedule design can either improve student access to rigorous courses or create obstacles. Ultimately, the design of the master schedule impacts high school readiness for middle school students and college/career readiness/graduation rates for high school students.
In this hands-on and interactive professional development, participants will gain the technical and tactical knowledge needed to build a student-centered master schedule necessary to improve student outcomes. Using the Plan, Communicate, Build, and Refine framework, participants will be given examples and templates to create a comprehensive master schedule development plan, including timelines to deliver a student-centered master schedule.

- Design/improve a plan for student course selection process
- Understand staffing allocation to maximize a student-centered master schedule
This training is offered on two dates. Attendees can select the date and location most convenient. Each date is considered a different session and each session is $30.00 per person.
