Yvonne Evans and Paul Simpson-Jones, CDE After School Division staff, will provide an overview of the Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) process for elementary, middle, and high school after school programs. The FPM process is designed to monitor implementation of categorical programs operated by local educational agencies (LEAs) and non-LEAs. Participants will learn to utilize the FPM instrument with after school programs including how to prepare documentation and organize materials for this compliance review of federal and state requirements. The workshop also covers the California Accountability and Improvement System (CAIS), a web-based system designed to enhance and streamline the FPM process.
