The ELA/ELD Framework for California Public Schools breaks new ground by providing a blueprint for the implementation of the California’s Common Core State Standards. This framework focuses on the teaching and learning of English literacy and language, which includes instruction in reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language and the use and development of these skills across the disciplines. This one-day workshop uses the “Trainer of Trainers” approach and materials developed by the Curriculum and Instruction Steering Committee (CISC). Attendees will be provided with modules to use for the creation and execution of professional development regarding the framework within their own organization.
