". . . by requiring all districts to engage parents and other education stakeholders in decisions about how to spend newly flexible funds, the Local Contral Funding Formula (LCFF) represents a remarkable experiment in local democracy."   . . . [it] is unprecendented.   It is indeed a grand vision, as ambitious and noble an agenda as any state has set."  Toward A Grand Vision:  Early Implementation of California's Local Control Funding Formula, October, 2014.

This workshop provides information and tools for using Implementation Science frameworks of the National Implementation Research Network (NIRN) from the University of North Carolina to guide stakeholder engagement in policy/practice feedback cycles.  These cycles are used to guide high-quality implementation of actions and services in state and federal plans with an emphasis on the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).  The workshop will share tools leadership teams may use to help define and quantify the "what" of high priority actions, and how these actions and services may be trained, coached, and supported by district systems.   It will provide protocols for sharing these data with diverse stakeholder groups to obtain feedback and input that helps guide adjustments to the LCAP.  These adjustments are part of the annual update and revisions for the 2015-2016 LCAP and lead to effective and sustained actions and services that promote success with the eight state priorities.
